3Shape is looking for a creative digital UX designer with extensive brand and communication skills. Please have practical hands-on knowledge about responsive web and emerging technologies. As our Digital UX Designer you will be part of the Digital Marketing Team. You will be working at the crossroads of business, technology and design. Your mission is to provide a great user experience. You will be highly involved in redesigning the UI on our Community platform (B2C). It will be a great opportunity to leave your digital mark on the design. You will also have the opportunity to work on some of our other platforms as we continue to improve our products and services.

The job encompasses a great variety of projects. You will work on a mixture of improving existing solutions and designing new ones. You should always have an ‘engaging user experience’ mind-set, continually thinking of how to integrate it into all projects. You will play a key role in driving this implementation, which will also include defining front-end design guidelines and standards for future implementation.

As our new Digital UX Designer, you will assist our current team in designing interactive and meaningful brand experiences. Help to drive efforts to design a best-in-class user experience across all our digital platforms that engage and delight our users.

Your main responsibilities will include specifying, executing, and communicating UI concepts, create and tst prototypes as well as conduct user research and interviews. Simultaneously you will also be paying attention to pixel perfect UIs. Please value simplicity, usability, and impact over the latest trends or fancy gimmicks.

You will be an expert web and mobile designer. The most important asset in your arsenal is your mindset; you are a self-driven spirit, who is always curious and yet still has the ability to execute quickly when it matters. You are always curious and eager to learn. And you understand how to communicate your design solutions to your peers. All of your peers, not only those within the design team, but anyone in 3Shape.

Responsibilities:
• Designing engaging user experience through engaging UI
• Create mock-ups and prototypes
• Translate wireframes, mock-ups into pixel perfect design
• Support and improve current graphic issues linked with our digital platforms.
• Closely cooperate with content editors and developers to ensure the best possible implementation of our designs.

Your profile:
• A degree from a design school or university (or similar educational background)
• 5+ years of experience in digital projects, working in a creative agency or in a design/product department
• Expert in understanding users and user behavior
• Proven record of designs/UX for web and/or app.
• Accustomed to do user research, conduct interviews and potentially run workshops
• An expert user in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe xD), InVision, Sketch or similar.
• Experience with responsive design principles (mobile first principle)
• Strong sense of web design and in accordance to best practice related to user experience
• Clear understanding of how to connect the big picture strategy and the smallest detail
• Highly skilled communicator in English (both verbally and in writing)
• Used to working with remote teams and travel
