IKEA, our Client, one of the leading multinational retail companies, is announcing an opening for the Operations Developer position.

About the job

As Operations Developer you will secure all operational aspects of service execution to support the stability and growth of IKEA.

Main Responsibilities:

• establishing, maintaining and optimizing efficient logistic set up with ESP operations;
• executing and following up agreed/signed contracts in assigned market and monitoring compliance of working methods;
• being responsible for minor renegotiations in regards to non-contractual aspects: adjusting delivery areas and service levels;
• agreeing and setting service and capacity with service providers in correlation with given forecast;
• monitoring and improving operational performance of service providers;
• developing service providers according to Supplier Development Process;
• complying and developing IWAY for alternative fuel and technology with service provider;
• training and advising service providers in working methods and integrated IT solution;
• building networks, encouraging clear communication and cooperating with service providers and other IKEA stakeholders;
• participating in sourcing projects to contribute with local operational and market knowledge.

Main Requirements:

• University degree in logistics, economics, business administration;
• 3-4 years of experience in the similar field;
• experience in developing ways of working and developing service providers and projects;
• knowledge and experience of meeting and interacting with external partners;
• fluent in English, both spoken and written;
• advanced PC skills;
• sourcing, analytical and negotiation skills;
• good knowledge of legislation and regulations governing the transport and service industry;
• good presentation and communication skills both in written and verbal.
