Вакансія Project Specialist

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Kyiv is seeking for their growing Energy Efficiency Portfolio (EE) a qualified professional to fill the position of the:

“Project Specialist (full time 100%)”

To support the projects with the focus on Energy Efficiency in municipal buildings, as e.g. Hospitals in the field of technical advice and project implementation, we are looking for a highly motivated Specialist with a hands-on attitude and excellent knowledge of consulting practices.

Area of responsibilities:

• assistance to the project director and project coordinators especially in technical issues
• development of technical implementation strategies for energy efficiency (EE) measures in hospitals (on local level)
• providing professional technical advice to partners and cooperating with important stakeholders
• organisation and coordination of EE pilot projects/measurements as e.g. in hospitals
• facilitation of international and national expert missions
• support for the preparation of workshops, study tours and networking events
• integrating results and experience into teamwork and the work of all relevant groups
• providing conceptual and organizational support to the project management
• support to organising administrative and logistical aspects of project activities
• providing assistance with conclusion of contracts and accounting
• ensure the maintaining and updating a filing system for the office or project
• preparation of publications and reports

Requirements to candidates:

• university degree in the project objectives (preferably in engineering), with a focus on a relevant field (energy efficiency);
• 5 years’ professional experience, with at least 3 years’ professional experience in a comparable position and experience in the energy or communal infrastructure sector (preferred focus on energy efficiency) or international development organistations
• practical experience in working with construction business and civil sector organisations strongly preferred
• working experience in ESCOs or similar organisations an advantage
• working experience in policy design, cooperation with authorities (on all level) and experience in developing organisations is a plus
• team oriented, flexible (incl. business trips), good skills in management, communication and organisation
• excellent English and/or German and Russian/Ukrainian language skills, including the ability to produce reports

Employment conditions:

• Full-time position with 40-hours working week until approximately July of 2019, with a possible extension
