MicroBilt Ukraine, a local subsidiary of a well-established US company (http://www.microbilt.com), is looking for a Data Analyst-Statistician to work on a full-time basis in our Kharkiv office. Salary, after taxes: $600-1000, based on experience. By joining our team, you will be working directly for a US company. This means stability, lawfulness and professional growth. Unlike many other companies, we hire people for a long term, not just for one project. Recent graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze historic credit performance of portfolios and develop visual and written reports that summarize these results, identify trends, explain variances, and provide recommendations for minimizing risk
• Data Mining, Model development, Statistical research in assessing credit risks utilizing multiple data sources to manage risks and identify optimal strategies to maximize profitability
• Help to develop new methods to automate and expand regular reporting tasks as well as develop and maintain new methods to allow for more efficient ad-hoc reporting
• Ability to explain complex analytical results to both a technical and non-technical audience

  Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree required, Advanced Degree in statistics, mathematics or other quantitative field preferred
• Strong statistical and analytical skills. Proven experience with statistical modeling approaches (e.g., logistic regression, decision trees, K-NN) and awareness of other machine learning techniques
• Model development software: Sql/Statistica/R etc. SAS/STAT/Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy) is preferred
• Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets is a plus
• Understanding of advanced statistical techniques used in predictive modeling
• Financial services experience in an analytical capacity, knowledge of credit lifecycle preferred
• English level - intermediate and up
