Requirements

• At least 1 years of experience in Art Directing, managing Art teams, shipping at least one title.
• At least 3 years of experience in the video game industry or similar creative research and development environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other creative tools.
• Bachelor degree of Computer Graphics/ Graphic Design/ Media Arts/ Fine Arts/ or Other.
• Strong foundation in the traditional Arts.
• Superior eye for light, value, color and composition.
• Strong, proven knowledge and skills in graphic design principles, fonts, layout design, user interface function and design (tailored for social / casual games – clean, simple, fresh and readable art assets)
• Able to adapt to the great diversity of visual styles no matter if stylized or realistic.
• Good team player with excellent communication, negotiation, and teaching skills.
• Highly organized with solid time management skills, strongly motivated and with a great desire to prove himself within the company.
• Good level of written and spoken English.

Be a plus

• Deep understanding of the mobile games market and their demographics.
• Able to quickly catch an idea and implement it in a illustration sketch.
• Experience working with outsourcers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Top Management, artists and producers to define the game’s art style;
• Make sure art team follows desired art style and technical requirements;
• Build and optimize efficient art content creation process;
• Mentor and educate junior artists;
• Create game art as a part of the team;

About the project

We are offering an opportunity to work on a series of next-generation interactive fiction mobile games across various exciting genres and intellectual properties (IP).
The client is a US-based independent game company building a platform to create and publish their own interactive fiction experiences. The vision is to create a unified destination for these narrative games in multiple IPs, genres, and languages.

The goal of this stage of the project is to create a series of standalone mobile game applications with rich narrative content to hone in on optimal user experience and validate content scalability.

Dev-Pro Games participates in front-end and content development. Front-end part is based on Unity and C#, while the content comprises text narrative, 2D static art, audio and is assembled and parsed in LUA format.
