About the role

We're looking to recruit an energetic and positive English native Copywriter and Marketing Writer to join our team, working on text for games aimed at the European market and doing marketing promotions for the group. You will have a combination of written creative flair and an eye for technical detail, and you will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people, from artists and technical writers to game developers and testers around the world.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Working with Product and Design teams to create in-game copy and instructions.
• Proofreading, amending and updating technical game documentation
• Creating game 'back stories'
• Scriptwriting for game characters when required
• Working with Marketing team to create marketing assets for individual games (including creation of campaign ideas, straplines and slogans) and company marketing promotions
• Responsible for company marketing notifications
• Maintaining Skywind websites
• Designing appropriate player dialogue to assist with product development.
• Assist with English proofreading for company product documentation

Experience & qualifications

Must have skills:

• Degree in a related subject
• High level of written ability in English
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to write clear, concise and accurate copy in a professional style
• Flair for writing lively, entertaining and colloquial copy using a wide range of tones and styles
• Proven ability to write both editorial and creative in-game copy
• Ability to write promotional text for marketing and sales purposes
• Able to write press releases and other long-form copy

Should have skills:

• Evidence of an ability to understand new ideas quickly and to convey those ideas to others
• Proven ability to write both online and offline
• An interest in games and how to market them
• Highly self-motivated and well-organised

Could have skills:

• Experience with working with global teams on multiple projects, possibly in a development environment.
• Experience in the gambling or gaming markets
• Scriptwriting and story writing experience
