As a unit within SAP Products & Innovations, we build innovative applications for manufacturing, leveraging the newest technical capabilities. Industry 4.0 is just not a buzzword for us! At the Hannover Fairs in the past years, we’ve demonstrated and impressed audiences with futuristic manufacturing solutions capable of handling lot size 1 for personalized products. We are also a global organization with a highly motivated development team based out of Germany, USA, India, China & Ukraine.Having a sophisticated E2E solution for discrete manufacturing, our objective is to extend our offering for Process Manufacturing based on the current assets in SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud. To augment this new program, we are looking for experienced developers with interest and experience in manufacturing. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who will be building the new solution, working closely with stakeholders within LoB Manufacturing and other business units.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSDigital Manufacturing is a fast-growing LoB, and the Developers should fulfill the following responsibilities:Develop in agile modeDevelopment of good quality software by following OO programming concepts, data structures and design patternsCreation of test cases, documentation of test results and actively partake in Unit testing, Module Testing, Integration TestingDevelop highly performant and reusable software using Java concepts and technologies (web containers, spring frameworks, web services, security)Work closely with Architects & POsCommunication and information exchange with other development teams in Manufacturing, PLM, EAM, QM, IoT and other adjacent areasEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESGood understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologiesKnowledge and hands on experience in in cloud applicationsExperience with Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, MicroservicesKnowledge of Product Security standards, and related tools such as CheckMan. CheckmarxSound knowledge of JSON and XML (including debugging)Minimum of 4+ years overall professional experienceBachelor’s in computer science or equivalent experiencePREFERRED SKILLSTeam player, Good communication skillsCapability to handle multiple tasks in parallelUnderstanding of Cloud DevOps Process, Quality ProcessesUnderstanding of web development technologies like HTML5, HTML, jQuery, CSS, ODATA and JavaScriptFluent in EnglishPlease apply using the link specified.
