Purpose:

We are seeking for a qualified and talented C/C++ Developer with strong knowledge of math to work on the software for our products. Sumix is a leading provider of Fiber optic testing equipment — microscopes and interferometers (http://www.sumix.com). Successful candidate will perform the full range of product development activities from specifications, research and design through development and testing. This is full time position open in Kiev office (metro Klovska). Part-time position is open for talented students of mathematical, cybernetic, or physical departments.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of C/C++, including Multithreading. Knowledge of QT and cross-platform development
• Databases: SQLite, PostgreSQL
• Build and Version Control: Git
• Operating Systems: Windows, Unix/Linux
• XP Practices (TDD, Code review/coverage/refactoring)
• Strong technical knowledge and analytical mindset, ability to learn quickly
• Good team player, open mindset
• Upper-Intermediate English

Desirable Skills (a candidate should satisfy at least one of the following requirements):

• Strong knowledge in applied mathematics and algorithms development
• Knowledge in physical and/or geometrical optics
• Knowledge in signal and image processing
• Knowledge of Python, including NumPy
• Knowledge of low level programming, driver and firmware development
• Knowledge of node.js or Python platform for web development

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop C/C++ code
• Develop mathematical algorithms with Python
• Requirements analysis, clarification, tasks decomposition and time estimation
• Mentoring, help for developers come up with the best technical solutions
• Development of Unit, Integration and Acceptance tests
• Code review
