You are able to take technical leadership, understand business needs, yet at the same time remain hands-on and do actual coding with top quality? If yes, SlidePresenter is the right place for you! We build a service-oriented system composed of multiple standalone, lightweight web services leveraging an open source stack: Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ. We unit test ruthlessly with JUnit, Mockito, and Spring-Test. Infrastructure-wise we use Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker for build and deployment automation.

Responsibilities:

• Developing code for the service-layer based on a microservices architecture for a large-scale internet facing application;
• Being part of a high-performing distributed team;
• Collaborating closely with Business, Client-Side Developers, Quality Assurance and User Experience professionals;
• Mastering state-of-the-art technologies and a complex business domain;
• Solving challenging problems in elegant ways;
• Sharing knowledge across the project team;
• Taking pride in the quality of software delivered for each development iteration;
• Take on technical leadership responsibility.

Requirements:

• Strong core Java 8 skills;
• Solid understanding of Spring Framework and Hibernate programming model;
• Work experience with JUnit, Mockito, Postgres database, Docker, Git, Linux, SOLID, Distributed Systems Architecture.
• Understanding of challenges associated with multithreaded distributed systems;
• Experience in testing complex applications on various levels;
• Strong understanding of Git and development workflows;
• Understanding clear code;
• High attention to details;
• The solution-oriented approach;
• High Management skills;
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Will be a plus

• Previous experience with RabbitMQ, ELK, Kubernetes, Gradle, Enterprise Security, Domain Driven Design, and Microservices.
