GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Middle Java/Javascript Developer to join its Kyiv office.

Our customer, BMC Software develops a new product line based on the own brand new Cloud platform.

The candidate will be working as part of a team to create new Cloud based applications to help our Fortune 500 customers manage their multi-cloud environments.

Having modern customizable and responsive front-end the solution is based on a powerful backend and dev tools allowing to build smart applications. Bulding the new applications we have the intention to automate testing as much as possible in sake of Continious Delivery.

The successful candidate will be working on several BMC products assumed to be a cutting edge. While the platform provides the basic components and workflows the products should have more specific behavior to be implemented by our teams. Strong technical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to assume ownership and drive issues to completion are the key success factors.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in development with use of Java and JavaScript
• Understanding and practical usage of HTTP Protocol
• Developing web applications using Ajax and REST
• Hands-on experience with building integration between systems
• Working with databases (Postgres), basic knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of Design Patterns and Enterprise Design Patterns
• Knowledge or use of an IDE, such as Eclipse or IDEA
• Intermediate English (read/write/speak) for daily communication with the customer

Preferences

• Understanding OSGi specifications
• Knowledge of Spring framework
• Experience with docker and linux
• Usage of continious integration tools

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure business aplication workflows
• Develop integrations between applications
• Follow defined software development process and practicies.
• Communicate on own tasks with local as well as remote Deav and QA team members.
• Report own progress on the tasks assigned
