About Project:
Our Client is a leading provider of Content Security solutions for organizations ranging from small businesses to the Global 2000.
They supply high-performance, technically-innovative products for managing and protecting enterprises' mission-critical networks from Internet threats while offering to include network security, email security, anti-spam filtering, anti-virus protection, anti-spyware technology, email encryption and more.
Our team is responsible for infrastructure services operations support (provisioning, monitoring, backup/restore, network, and many more) for 20+ Data Centers around the globe within 100+ SBG’s services hosted there.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with operational objectives, policies/procedures, work schedules, and reporting metrics
- Ensure policies/procedures and documentation accurately reflects current practices; suggest changes/modifications when appropriate
- Ensure operations engineers are effectively supported through day-to-day interaction, regular training, team meetings, on-call assistance, and individual coaching/mentoring
- Escalate in a timely manner, to appropriate individuals and teams, outage events and/or impairments and issues that cannot be resolved within appropriate timeframes to ensure efficient resolution and minimize impact to customers
- Prepare for and participate in CLCA's after outage causing event
- Administer performance reviews and mentor staff
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years NOC and or System Admin experience, with the ability to effectively lead and manage people and projects
- 1-3 years in a technical management role
- Demonstrated expertise in managing an operations teams
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated aptitude for communicating complex technical concepts and information in straightforward terms
- Must have strong leadership skills and be able to remain calm and focused in stressful situations, including the ability to maintain order and a methodical troubleshooting approach that is focused on service restoration
- Good interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service
- Demonstrated competency in technical writing, including various documentation, management reports, and metrics
