About Project:

SoftServe team is looking for a Senior/Lead ATQC Engineer with a passion for open source software.

This tool is a plugin launcher, written in Python 2.7 while plugins are Ansible playbooks. Plugins, being developed and supported by the core team, are the stages of OpenStack deployment and testing: provisioning (virsh, OpenStack, TheForeman, Bare Metal, etc.), installation (TripleO), testing (Tempest, Rally, etc.).

This tool is used in CI (Jenkins) as well as by end users (software engineers, QA’s, etc.).

Essential Responsibilities:

• Implement new features of InfraRed and core plugins and fix plugs
• Participate in the test planning and product planning processes
• Code review
• Jenkins jobs creation / reconfiguration / fixing
• Document and advocate the resolution of new bugs with developers and communicate the impact on customers to software engineers and support
• Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
• Communicate with the other, globally dispersed quality engineers and software engineers

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Linux based operating systems, first of all - RPM-based (such as RHEL, CentOS, Fedora).
• Confident knowledge of GIT
• Experience in the following areas -
  • Networking
  • Shell scripting
  • Python development
  • Configuration automation (Puppet, Salt etc. Ansible is preferred)
  • Configuration of Jenkins (Jenkins Job Builder, Pipeline plugin, Jenkinsfile)
  • Virtualization (KVM+Libvirt)
  • OpenStack itself
