Job Purpose:

The Instructional Designer will develop content in consultation with SMEs and coordinate work from e-learning team (ELT) management to complete the learning design required by the project. This position plays a vital role in designing the e-learning and media content within the SoftServe University’s Learning Management System.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide request analysis with the aim of recommending SME to select correct e-learning structure, key-topics, and additional materials
• Develop an innovative pedagogical approach for producing blended media and online learning materials in collaboration with the project team
• Be able to write effective educational texts, scripts, and storyboards for educational e-learning and media creation according to established frameworks of learning design
• Be responsible for devising modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
• Analyze and apply trends in learning technologies and instructional design should be standard practice for instructional designers
• Develop learning objectives, structure learning activities, create visual aids for online and face-to-face interactions

Requirements:

Education -

• Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or similar
• A postgraduate qualification in educational design, interviewing or educational experience is desirable

Professional knowledge and experience -

• Knowledge and applying the ADDIE model to meet the learning needs
• Presentational and interviewing skills
• Essential knowledge of multimedia e-learning formats, MS Office and Adobe CC tools and Learning Management Systems
• Understanding of graphic design requirements
• General understanding of software development company functioning

Personal and professional skills -

• Culturally intelligent, multinational requestors oriented, fluent in English (Upper Intermediate and above)
• Storyboarding, interviewing, summarizing, script writing, illustration skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including online communications
• Self-managing, focus on task completion
• Facilitating meetings, organization skills
