Вакансія German and English Teacher

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated candidate to fill the position of a German Teacher to work full-time in our Kyiv office.

Position details:

15-19 teaching hours weekly, Monday to Friday, number of groups will be discussed.

The office is located in KPI area.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Teaching A1-C1 levels of General German and A1-B1 levels of General English to Infopulse Ukraine specialists, in groups and individually, face-to-face and online
• Developing and teaching specialist German courses on request
• Conducting German speaking club and movie club sessions on request
• Adapting existing teaching materials
• Performing regular translation/proofreading into/from German on general and domain-specific topics (IT, law, telecommunications, etc.)
• Carrying out assessments of students’ language level for group placement
• Carrying out assessments of students’ language needs
• Conducting written and oral assessment of students’ progress
• Carrying out German language knowledge and skills evaluation of potential employees
• Monitoring and recording students’ progress
• Keeping and maintaining personal administrative records
• Sharing in departmental administrative duties
• Participating in departmental meetings
• Corresponding with students and fellow colleagues on educational and administrative issues
• Attending and contributing to training sessions
• Engaging in continuing professional development (CPD)
• Providing mainstream language support company-wide as and when required

Qualifications:

• MA or Specialist Degree in linguistics + degree in pedagogy/teacher training program
• Proficient or near proficient level of the German language
• Upper-Intermediate/Advanced level of the English Language
• 3+ years of teaching experience
• Knowledge of modern approaches and methods of effective foreign language teaching with the focus on communication skills
• Previous experience or education in IT area will be an advantage
• Language certificates will be a strong advantage
• Experience in teaching in a second foreign language will be an advantage
