Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) is a World-Class University with a reputation for excellence in Economics Education & Research, Policy Advice and Business Education both in Ukraine and internationally.
Position Summary: Placement Officer will be responsible for relations management with prospective employers of the KSE students/graduates as well as for supervision and coordination of career services for School's alumni, providing employment support, counseling and training.
Your role will include:
Engaging students
1. Help with CV preparation
- CV template + training on how to fill it
- Follow up with students to ensure they compile their resume
- Give feedback on resumes
2. Cover letters
- Train the students on how to write a cover letter
- Give feedback on cover letters
- Recommendations on writing business emails (requests for interviews / thank you notes/apologies for missing an interview / accepting an offer / declining an offer)
3. Help with the company search
- Train the students on how to use available tools, create target lists of employers etc.
- Coach the students to help them approach potential employers properly
- Make job postings for KSE students and alumni in accordance with the priority list of employers/companies
- Arrange mock interviews
- Create sample student career paths
4. Encourage team spirit
- Create student clubs to promote informal activities on job search
- Conduct alumni panels (including industry/company panels) to facilitate students’ understanding of their employment / professional preferences
- Closely work with the KSE Alumni Association and secure regular communication with alumni
Engaging companies
- Meet potential employers to understand their needs + give info about the School’s students
- Prioritize the list of employers/companies in accordance with the School’s vision. Match student candidates with appropriate companies to ensure the best fit
- Compile CV books for companies
- Organize job fairs
Information gathering
- Obtain access to career research databases
- Prepare employment reports
- Maintain updated alumni database for networking purpose
- Keep CV database
You will have:
- Master’s degree in any field
- Fluent in Ukrainian and advanced English (oral and written)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in one of the following spheres would be an advantage:
- HR / recruiting
- Education/training
- Study program management in international/foreign educational institutions
- Sales
- Strong communication, negotiation & presentation skills
- Understanding of business tact and ethics
- Initiative, well-organized and with the high level of responsibility in work
- Technology Skills (Microsoft Office, reports etc.)
